Student´s name: Trigueros Sifre, Gonzalo

Title of the paper: A Master of Nonsense

Author or topic: Edward Lear (1812-1888) XIX

Before I explain what my work is about, I will show a brief introduction

The author I have chosen is Edward Lear, who wrote many works such as “The Owl and the Pussy Cat” and “The Jumblies”. He lived during the Victorian age and was also a contemporary of Lewis Carrol, another Nonsense writer (among many other jobs) and the author of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland . The aspects I am going to focus on are Lear’s biography and bibliography, too. Since he wrote a lot of books, they all were not written within the Victorian era, as it is showed in the following poetry-archive, but at least he began writing in this period. Many of his nonsense plays are very funny for children and even for adults.

All what I have learned about Edward Lear is summarized in this conclusion.

Auto-evaluation: I think that my grade mark should be 5 becuase of my humble work. I know mine is not a huge work, but at least it serves to give some information about Edward Lear and I deserve it.
